Clarifier adjusted his glasses and surveyed the room. Nothing was wrong exactly—but everything was tangled. Words overlapped. Ideas leaned on each other without support. Tasks blurred together until no one could tell where one ended and another began. The air buzzed with effort and frustration, motion without direction.

Clarifier didn’t interrupt. He listened. He always did. Not just to the words being spoken, but to what they were trying to become. When the room finally quieted, he stepped forward and tapped the board once with his wing. “Let’s name things,” he said calmly. The tension didn’t vanish, but it softened. Naming was something people could hold onto.

He began simply. One goal. One definition. One clear line drawn where before there had been a cloud. As each piece was placed where it belonged, shoulders lowered. Breathing slowed. The work didn’t disappear—but it stopped fighting itself. Structure wasn’t a cage. It was a frame strong enough to build on.

Someone asked if this meant fewer options. Clarifier smiled. “No,” he replied. “It means fewer misunderstandings.” He pointed to the space now cleared by definition. “Freedom grows when you know where the edges are.” The room nodded, understanding settling in like alignment clicking into place.

As the group returned to work, movement became purposeful. Decisions were easier. Questions sharper. Clarifier stepped back, content to fade into the background once order took hold. That was always the way—clarity didn’t need applause. It needed accuracy.

Later, as plans turned into progress, Clarifier watched quietly. Definition had done its work. Not by adding more, but by setting things exactly where they belonged. And in that structure, everyone finally had room to move forward with confidence.
